For Episode 2 of Well Crafted Women, Café Jikoni at the V&A East Museum brings together three of our most beloved cookbook authors, Chetna Makan, Georgina Hayden and Sarit Packer - three stellar authors who have written a whopping thirty (!) best-selling cookbooks between them.

Chetna Makan, bestselling author and former Great British Bake Off finalist, is known for her joyful, flavour packed approach to Indian cooking and baking, most recently in 5 Ingredient Indian. Georgina Hayden, the award-winning author of Nistisima and Greekish, draws on family, travel and her Greek-Cypriot heritage in her latest book, MEDesque. Sarit Packer, chef and co-founder of Honey & Co, has helped shape one of London’s most beloved restaurant families and is the co-author of a host of books including her latest tome Honey & Co Daily.

If you have ever wondered what it takes to write the kind of books that become well-thumbed and food spattered kitchen companions, this is your chance to come and glean wisdom from these women who are at the top of their game. What does it take to create recipes that people want to cook repeatedly? How does one write a tight book proposal or find that unique hook? How do you pitch to editors and agents? How to create an engaged community of readers and cooks. These are just some of the topics we’ll be covering together.

Come along on Friday 18 September, from 7pm at Café Jikoni. Tickets are £30 and include a welcome drink and a table-creaking with many delicious things, followed by the conversation, audience Q&A and time to mingle before the evening ends at 9pm..
