Jikoni x William Dalrymple

6th October 2019

Civilised Sundays at Jikoni celebrates William Dalrymple and his new book The Anarchy.

Award-winning historian, travel writer and master storyteller William Dalrymple will be reading from his highly anticipated new book The Anarchy: The Relentless Rise of the East India Company.

Seafood dish with lobster tail and lemon slice in a creamy sauce garnished with herbs, served on a plate.

In his most ambitious and riveting book to date, Dalrymple tells the story of the East India Company as it has never been told before, unfolding a timely cautionary tale of the first global corporate power. Three hundred and fifteen years after its founding, with a corporate Mogul now sitting in the White House, the story of the East India Company has never been more current.

Come and celebrate the launch of the book with a feast inspired by William’s Scottish roots, some of his favourite dishes & ingredients and his Delhi home, cooked by Jikoni’s chef patron Ravinder Bhogal.
